As a school, we feel that what your child learns in the classroom is incredibly important. However, we recognise that the skills they can learn outside of class are equally important for giving them every possible opportunity.

There are numerous opportunities to take part in our exciting and engaging extra-curricular programme, giving students the chance to learn new skills and enhance existing ones. We offer a broad range of extra-curricular activities, from sports, to gardening, to cooking and so much more.

As well as structured activities being available for students at lunchtimes, after school Extra-Curricular clubs will in the future be available on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; Wednesdays are given over to staff professional development.

You can click on any of the below items to access the online learning platforms we use. Your child should have been provided with logins to access each of the platforms but if you have any questions or would like a copy of these details, please contact your child's class teacher

Reading, Reading, Reading

We're encouraging all our students to read both in school and at home.  This can be a book for pleasure, magazines, comics, recipes when students are helping to cook at home.  To support reading, look out for our termly reading competitions.

As part of our whole school reading and vocabulary focus, your young person's teacher will regularly issue a comprehension and vocabulary task linked to their classroom learning.
